When a runner loves the shot you got of them, they can leave you a tip when they buy your photos. It’s on top of the ₱125 they pay for the photo, it’s completely up to them, and it’s added to your normal weekly payout.
Tips are always extra — never instead of your sale. Your photo earnings don’t change, and you keep full rights to every photo.

How it works

1

A runner buys your photos

They find their shots by selfie or bib number and check out at ₱125 each.
2

They add a tip (optional)

At checkout, the runner can choose to add a tip for their order.
3

The tip goes to you

If you were the only photographer, the whole tip is yours. If more than one photographer shot that runner, it’s shared — see below.
4

You're paid weekly

Tips show up in your dashboard right away and pay out on your normal weekly cycle, the same as your photo sales.

The payment fee

Every tip has a 1.5% payment-provider fee taken off first. This is the cost charged by the payment system, not a Fokus fee — you keep the rest.
For example, on a ₱50 tip the fee is ₱0.75, so ₱49.25 goes to you (or is shared, if more than one of you shot the runner).

When more than one of you shot the same runner

Sometimes a runner buys photos from two or three photographers in one order. When that happens, the tip is shared based on what the runner actually bought from each of you — so whoever they bought more from gets the bigger share. It’s never divided evenly regardless of who shot what. Here’s an example. A runner buys 3 of your photos and 2 from another photographer, then leaves a ₱50 tip: If you were the only one who shot that runner, the whole ₱49.25 would be yours.

When you get paid

Tips follow the same schedule as your photo sales. They clear about 48 hours after the sale and pay out every week through InstaPay or PESONet, straight to your bank or e-wallet. You’ll see every tip in your dashboard as it comes in.

Common questions

No. Tips are completely separate and always on top of what you earn from selling your photos. Your per-photo earnings stay exactly the same.
The whole tip is yours, minus the 1.5% payment fee.
By what the runner bought. If they bought more of your photos, you get a bigger share of the tip. Someone who sold fewer photos to that runner gets a smaller share.
A tip you’ve already earned is yours to keep — it isn’t taken back if a single photo is refunded later.
Always. Tips don’t change anything about your rights. You keep full ownership of every photo and can still sell them elsewhere.
Right away. Tips appear in your dashboard the moment a runner leaves one, and they pay out on your next weekly cycle.
